Accountant General

Accountant (General) – Full-Time

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant (General) to join our growing professional services organisation.

Employment Type: Full-Time

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: $85,000 per annum + superannuation

Location: Sydney, NSW

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, management accounts and financial reports.

• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash-flow reports.

• Maintain and review accounting records and general ledger accounts.

• Prepare and review BAS, GST and other taxation-related information.

• Assist with preparation of income tax returns and statutory reporting requirements.

• Analyse business operating costs, income and expenditure.

• Provide financial and accounting advice to management.

• Monitor internal accounting procedures and financial controls.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Liaise with management, clients and external professionals regarding accounting and financial matters.

• Ensure financial records comply with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

• Assist management with financial planning and business performance analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance or a closely related discipline.

• Relevant professional accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of Australian accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
