Technical Business Analyst

• Project Description:

Join a leading Australian banking transformation program focused on modernizing digital banking platforms, customer journeys, and regulatory processes. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will bridge business and technology teams by leveraging AI-powered tools to analyze requirements, generate user stories, identify business process improvements, and support solution design. The role involves working closely with stakeholders, architects, developers, testers, and product owners to deliver scalable, data-driven banking solutions while utilizing Generative AI to accelerate analysis, documentation, and decision-making.

• Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of converting business requirements into well-documented user stories with clear acceptance criteria ready to be developed by the engineering team.

• Split up larger tasks into child tasks which are achievable in a sprint

• Participate in Agile delivery and planning sessions.

• Review all deliverables to ensure quality and conformance to standards.

• Assist with building out test packs alongside the business stakeholders, including through test automation frameworks, to ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.

• Mandatory Skills Description:

• 6-9 years of experience as a technology business analyst in a financial institution.

• Ability to perform detailed data analysis and write advanced SQL queries and stored procedures

• Enable traceability of systems changes against regulatory obligations & requirement documentation

• Write acceptance criteria and test cases for systems changes.

• Collaborate with the technology squad to delivery end-to-end system changes through an Agile delivery process.

• Knowledge of capital markets financial products within the context of a technology role.

• Knowledge of capital markets business processes and structures.

• Demonstrated knowledge in writing system requirements and working in an Agile delivery team.

• Highly skilled in SQL

• Experience in delivery of regulatory compliance systems such as trade reporting for MiFID II regulation.
