D & J Estate Pty Ltd is a South Australian agricultural operations services business providing contracted vineyard, horticultural and agricultural services to commercial growers and agricultural enterprises across South Australia.

About the Role

We are seeking Vineyard Workers to undertake vineyard operations across commercial vineyard sites in South Australia.

The positions involve practical vineyard work as part of D & J Estate's operational teams under the direction of vineyard supervisors and management. Work will include a range of seasonal vineyard activities associated with vine maintenance, crop management and harvesting.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake pruning, vine training, tying and canopy management activities.

Perform vineyard maintenance and general crop care activities.

Assist with shoot thinning, wire lifting and other seasonal vineyard operations.

Undertake grape harvesting and associated crop-handling activities.

Assist with irrigation and other vineyard production activities as directed.

Use vineyard tools and equipment safely and appropriately.

Follow work instructions and vineyard operating procedures.

Monitor vines and work areas and report crop, equipment or operational issues to supervisors.

Maintain productivity and work quality in accordance with operational requirements.

Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.

Work effectively as part of a supervised vineyard operations team.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in vineyard, viticultural, horticultural or agricultural operations is desirable.

Practical knowledge of vineyard activities such as pruning, vine training, canopy management and harvesting is desirable.

Ability to undertake physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Ability to follow instructions and work safely and productively as part of a team.

Reliable, punctual and able to meet operational work requirements.

Ability to travel to operational sites as required.

Employment

Permanent, full-time positions based in South Australia, with work undertaken across operational vineyard sites.

Salary

$70,000 - $75,000 per annum plus superannuation.
