The Opportunity
As a Senior Systems Safety Engineer, you'll be responsible for identifying, analysing, and managing safety risks across sophisticated systems and platforms. You'll work closely with engineering teams, customers, and safety authorities to ensure solutions are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose throughout the entire lifecycle.
You'll play a key role in:
Leading and delivering system safety engineering activities
Conducting hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety assurance activities
Developing safety cases, safety arguments, and supporting artefacts
Influencing engineering outcomes to ensure safe and effective solutions
Engaging with customers, regulators, and key stakeholders on safety-related matters
Supporting continuous improvement across safety processes and programs
What We're Looking For
Experience in Systems Safety Engineering within a safety-critical environment
Background in industries such as Defence, Aerospace, Rail, Transport, Nuclear, Energy, Oil & Gas, or other highly regulated sectors
Experience delivering safety assessments, safety cases, and assurance activities
Knowledge of recognised safety standards such as MIL-STD-882, ARP4761, ISO21448, ISO15288, or similar frameworks
An engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
