We are now seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead all aspects of facility management, operational engineering, maintenance strategy, and digital systems integration across our growing venue portfolio.

Role Overview

As Engineering Manager, you will oversee the performance, maintenance, and innovation of our hospitality infrastructure. This includes the day-to-day engineering of venue operations, long-term facility upgrades, sustainability planning, and integration of smart systems, automation, and SOPs. You will work closely with venue managers, the ZHost executive team, and ADG digital developers to ensure our facilities operate safely, efficiently, and are future-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the maintenance and operational engineering strategy across all venues (Six Degrees, Chanya Thai, Venice Albany)

Manage preventative and reactive maintenance programs, safety compliance, and contractor coordination

Oversee energy systems, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and commercial kitchen operations

Lead the development and implementation of SOPs for engineering workflows and venue operations

Collaborate with digital and hospitality teams on automation systems, app testing, and smart facility integration (e.g., sensor monitoring, asset tracking)

Monitor and optimize operational energy usage, building sustainability initiatives

Maintain documentation on venue assets, work orders, warranties, and compliance reporting

Support future expansion planning and venue fit-outs, including vendor/supplier procurement and design input

Liaise with local councils and regulatory bodies regarding compliance and upgrades

Ideal Candidate

5+ years’ experience in engineering management or technical facilities management, ideally within hospitality, retail, or accommodation

Experience overseeing building services, commercial kitchen equipment, and contractor teams

Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle planning, WHS compliance, and operational SOPs

Familiarity with smart systems, IoT integration, building automation, or app-based monitoring systems

Proficiency with CMMS tools, asset tracking software, or cloud-based engineering platforms

Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset

Project management experience with renovations, upgrades, or new site development is highly desirable
