We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Professional

As a Multidisciplinary Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, or Psychologist within the Noarlunga mental health unit, you will join a team delivering meaningful care to people who need it most.

About the role:

Reporting to the Team Manager, you will work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary mental health team, bringing the depth of your discipline to shared clinical goals.

Duties for the role will include:

Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments across a range of presentations, including risk assessment, psychosocial history, and functional evaluation, to inform diagnosis and care planning

Developing, implementing, and reviewing individualised, recovery-oriented care plans in genuine partnership with consumers and their families or support networks

Delivering discipline-specific therapeutic interventions - occupational, psychological, or social - within a structured clinical framework, adjusting approaches to meet the needs of each consumer

Coordinating care pathways across inpatient, community, and external service environments to support safe, well-planned transitions and reduce avoidable readmissions

Providing consultation, secondary support, and clinical advice to other team members and external service providers on complex cases

Maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with SA Health standards, contributing to audits, clinical reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, handovers, and case conferences to ensure cohesive, well-coordinated consumer care

You will be supported through regular discipline specific supervision, with opportunities for professional development, reflective practice and shared learning within an experienced multidisciplinary team.

About you:

Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Clinical Psychologist.

Experience working with people who have a mental illness, their families and-or carers

Experience in collaborative development, implementation and monitoring of planned interventions for consumers of mental health services with complex needs.

Must be highly motivated and have the ability to engage with consumers who have very high service needs.

Ability to undertake comprehensive assessment skills including, consumer needs analysis, assessment skills in mental state and risk assessment.

Ability to effectively and efficiently manage time and other resources.

Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to express complex ideas succinctly and logically.
