About the Role:
Modbury Hospital is a busy acute care facility at the heart of the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN), serving one of Adelaide's most diverse and growing communities. If you're an organised, people-focused administrator who takes pride in keeping clinical teams running smoothly, this AS02 Administration Officer role offers a meaningful entry point into public health.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing front-line administrative support to clinical and operational staff across NALHN, including outpatients clinics, data entry, and correspondence management
Coordinating patient-related documentation and records in accordance with SA Health privacy and information governance standards
Responding to enquiries from patients, families, and internal stakeholders with accuracy and professionalism
Supporting scheduling, reporting, and general office functions to maintain day-to-day service continuity
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience in an administrative or customer-facing role, ideally within a health, government, or high-volume service environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for accuracy in documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence learning health information systems such as Sunrise (EMR) or similar clinical platforms used across NALHN
An understanding of, or willingness to develop knowledge of, SA Health policies including confidentiality and workplace health and safety obligations
The ability to manage competing priorities calmly and reliably in a clinical setting
A current national police clearance, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:
NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide's north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
Lyell McEwin Hospital - the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital - a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services - adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services - provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services - including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
