Stitch Coffee QVB is located within the Queen Victoria Building in Sydney. The store provides customers with specialty coffee, beverages and a range of Stitch Coffee retail products while maintaining high standards of customer service, product quality and store presentation.

Role

Stitch Coffee QVB is looking for an experienced Retail Manager who can organise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the store while effectively managing retail staff and maintaining high standards of customer service.

The Retail Manager will be responsible for managing staff, stock levels, product presentation, sales performance and customer service standards while ensuring the store operates efficiently. Must have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment, demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and ensure the store maintains Stitch Coffee's operational and service standards.

Responsibilities and duties

Organise and oversee the day-to-day operations of the retail store;

Determine product mix, stock levels and customer service standards;

Monitor stock levels and coordinate the purchasing and ordering of products and supplies;

Implement purchasing and pricing strategies in accordance with business requirements;

Promote and advertise the store's products and services;

Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve retail sales;

Maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions;

Undertake budgeting of store revenue and expenses;

Recruit, select, roster, train and supervise retail staff;

Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and training where required;

Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels during trading periods;

Ensure customers receive a high standard of service and respond to customer enquiries and feedback;

Oversee product displays, merchandising and the overall presentation of the store;

Implement and maintain store policies, procedures and service standards;

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements and other relevant retail regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

AQF Diploma or higher qualification in a relevant field;

Qualifications in Business Management, Retail Management or a related field are highly regarded;

Have at least 3 years of relevant experience in retail management or a similar managerial position;

Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills;

Experience in managing, rostering, training and supervising staff;

Experience in stock control, purchasing and inventory management;

Ability to monitor sales, revenue, expenses and overall store performance;

Strong understanding of customer service and retail operations;

Ability to maintain high standards of store presentation and product merchandising;

Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements;

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
