NEPEAN Power specialises in design and manufactures high quality electrical equipment. Our products can be found throughout the Australian and international mining, construction, and industrial sectors. NEPEAN Power is also level 3 Service Providers (ASP3) for designing distribution works in NSW
We are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for Electrician (General) based at our NSW Office. You will be responsible for electrical installation, wiring, fit out, and testing of prefabricated switchrooms, modular skids, and transportable units. The role ensures all work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification in alignment with project schedule. We offer full-time permanent employment and short-term 3-6 months' non-ongoing contracts with above-award pay rates fully guaranteed under current workplace regulations.
KEY RESULT AREAS
WHS:
Work safely using appropriate SWMS, Risk Assessments, or Safety Operating Procedures
Immediately report hazards to a supervisor or safety representative and monitor corrective actions
Take reasonable care for the health and safety of all people and the environment at work.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and terminate electrical systems in modular switchrooms, skids, and prefabricated enclosures
Interpret modular electrical schematics, drawings, and scopes of work
Carry out testing, fault finding, and pre-commissioning of modular electrical systems prior to delivery
Work with carpentry and fabrication teams to sequence tasks for efficient modular build
Ensure electrical works comply with AS3000, AS4871, and other applicable standards
Assist with installation and connection works on customer sites when required
Maintain and calibrate electrical tools, test equipment, and machinery
Provide high quality workmanship that meets deadlines, budgets, and project specifications
Complete service sheets, progress reports, and documentation to required standards
Liaise with the Leading Hand or Foreman on priorities and deliverables
Support logistics and site teams with unit handover, inspection, and client acceptance.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of AS3000 and AS4871
Understanding of modular construction practices
Ability to interpret modular electrical schematics and scopes of work
Fault finding and problem-solving skills
Organisational and time management skills
Flexibility to adapt to dynamic modular build requirements
Ability to work both independently and in a cross-trade team
Attention to detail and strong quality focus
Clear communication and interpersonal skills
Current Driver Licence (required)
Relevant tickets (Forklift, EWP, Confined Space) highly regarded.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
Relevant electrical trade qualification
NSW electrical licence (or equivalent)
Preferably 4 years’ experience in installation and fit out, preferably within modular or construction industries
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
