Position Available – Formwork Carpenter

Top Deck is currently seeking experienced Formwork Carpenters to join its team on major commercial construction projects across Sydney. This is a full-time position suited to candidates with strong experience in commercial formwork, concrete structures and construction site operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications

-Measure, cut, assemble and install timber and formwork materials

-Construct, install and dismantle formwork systems for concrete structures including slabs, walls, columns and beams

-Carry out carpentry and formwork works in accordance with project requirements and safety standards

-Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely and effectively

-Work with site supervisors and other trades to complete projects within required timeframes

-Maintain a safe and organised work environment in accordance with WHS requirements

About You

For this role, you should have:

- Trade qualification in Carpentry (AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV) or equivalent relevant experience

- Demonstrated experience in commercial formwork and concrete structure projects

- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, formwork plans and specifications

- Experience constructing, installing and dismantling formwork systems for concrete structures

- Ability to work safely at heights and within active construction environments

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements on construction sites

- Ability to work effectively within a team environment and meet project deadlines

Desirable Skills:

-Experience working on commercial or high-rise construction projects

-Experience using proprietary formwork systems (e.g. PERI, Doka or similar systems)

-White Card (Construction Induction Card)

-Valid driver licence and reliable transport
