ACAPS is seeking experience and qualified Refrigeration Technician to join their team. As a refrigeration technician, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
Install air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment in industrial, commercial, domestic, and transportation settings including vehicles such as buses and trucks
Assemble components and parts to construct air conditioning and refrigeration systems including wiring, duct fitting, and insulation work
Identify and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults to facilitate prompt and effective repairs
Repair and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators and pumps
Repair and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration lines used for refrigerant, liquids and gases in the air conditioning, heating or cooling process
Tests operational air conditioning and refrigeration systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
Fills systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks, and removes gas and fluids with vacuum pumps
Recovers and fills refrigerant in air conditioning and refrigeration systems
Provide support in emergency breakdown services
Maintain proper documentation of service and spare parts
To be considered for this position, you must have:
Trade qualification or equivalent
Proven work experience in the same field
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work
Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must have excellent work ethics

Salary: Between $79,499 and $82,000 per annum + Super
