Daly Waters Pub is situated 620 kilometres south of Darwin, at the intersection of the Carpentaria and Stuart Highways.

Built in 1930, it is now one of Australia’s most iconic Outback pubs, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year.

The bistro is open daily from 11.00 am to 8.30 pm for lunch and dinner. The menu caters for steak lovers and customers wanting to try crocodile, kangaroo and buffalo. Vegetarian meals and special dietary requirements are also catered for.

About the Role

Manage all operations especially the day-to-day activities of the hotel/pub.

Key tasks include:

• oversee all daily operations, including reception, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance

• recruit, train, motivate, and supervise hotel/pub staff

• deal with guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and identity and implement service improvement programs

• manage budgets, monitor expenses, control inventory, set pricing, and analyse sales to improve profitability

• monitor stock levels and coordinate the placement of orders

• ensure strict adherence to health, safety, licensing, and security regulations

• promotional activities, marketing campaigns, and sales efforts to attract customers

• coordinate and supervise property maintenance and improvements

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or higher qualification in hospitality management or equivalent work experience

• recent experience in hotel management for a minimum of three (3) years

• strong understanding of hotel management best practices and software

• demonstrated experience preparing and delivering marketing plans

• outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills

• proven leadership abilities with great attention to detail
