Hardware Technician

PCB Digital PCB Digital Pty. Limited is currently looking for a highly motivated and hard-working fulltime Hardware Technician to join our team. Benefits The successful candidate will receive an annual salary of AU$79,500 plus superannuation, and shall be entitled to leave credits and other benefits provided under the law.

Task & responsibilities About the Role The role of the Hardware Technician will perform duties and responsibilities, including the following: Provide technical support for computer systems, network infrastructure and peripheral devices by installing, testing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing hardware components to ensure optimal system performance, efficiency and reliability Analyse business and user requirements to identify appropriate hardware, software and network solutions, identify system deficiencies, and recommend technological improvements to support business operations Install, configure, upgrade and maintain operating systems, software applications, and other relevant programs, ensuring compatibility and compliance with organisational standards Deliver timely and effective technical assistance by responding to enquiries and support requests, diagnosing and resolving hardware, network, connectivity, and system-related issues while maintaining a high standard of customer service Customise and enhance existing applications and programs to meet specific business and user requirements, improving functionality, usability and operational efficiency Monitor and promote the efficient utilisation of computer applications, information systems, and equipment by providing recommendations and training, if necessary Conduct preventative maintenance and diagnostics on peripheral equipment, including printers, scanners, terminals, modems, and other connected devices, and perform repairs or replacements as necessary to minimise operational disruptions and downtime Assist in the design, implementation, configuration and maintenance of computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wireless networks, internet connectivity, and network security measures, to support reliable communication and data exchange Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of technical issues, system configurations, software installations, repairs and support activities, to ensure proper documentation and compliance with organisational policies and procedures Qualification & experience The successful candidate must have the following: Advanced Diploma, tertiary qualification or higher in a related field At least one year full time work experience Excellent attention to details and troubleshooting skills Effective customer service skills Communication skills Able to work as part of a team About Company PCB Digital Pty.
