This is a hands-on project management role suited to someone who understands the technical and commercial realities of delivering renewable energy projects and is comfortable managing multiple projects and stakeholders at once.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of a portfolio of commercial solar projects ranging from approximately 50 kW through to multi-MW installations.

You will manage projects across design, procurement, approvals, construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in accordance with applicable Australian standards and requirements.

You will work closely with our engineering, procurement and leadership teams, while coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, clients and other external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage commercial solar projects from project commencement through to practical completion and handover.

-Maintain oversight of project budgets, costs, procurement and logistics.

-Coordinate and manage project engineers, subcontractors, installers, electricians and other specialist contractors.

-Review and coordinate technical documentation including site plans, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and monitoring schematics.

-Oversee grid connection applications, structural assessments and relevant council approvals.

-Provide technical oversight of photovoltaic system design and installation.

-Manage project programmes, milestones, risks and delivery deadlines.

-Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and applicable Australian industry regulations.

-Conduct project risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

-Maintain clear and professional communication with clients and other project stakeholders.

-Provide regular reporting on project progress, risks, milestones and financial performance.

These responsibilities reflect the technical, financial, safety and stakeholder accountabilities in the Position Description.

About You

We are looking for someone who brings a combination of technical understanding, commercial awareness and strong project management capability.

Ideally, you will have:

-Demonstrated project management experience within commercial solar, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure or a closely related industry.

-Experience managing commercial-scale projects from 100 kW through to MW-scale installations.

-Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, including rooftop and ground-mount solar.

-An understanding of the Australian electricity and renewable energy industry.

-Experience coordinating contractors, suppliers, engineers and clients.

-Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets and procurement.

-Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.

-High proficiency in Microsoft Office.

-CEC/accredited grid-connected system design qualifications or equivalent industry accreditation would be highly regarded.

The technical requirements above are consistent with the skills identified in the JD.

What Success Looks Like
