Cyber Computer Recycling & Disposal Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to develop and manage commercial relationships for the company’s electronic waste recycling, IT asset disposition, secure data destruction, solar photovoltaic panel recycling and environmental recovery services.
The Technical Sales Representative will work directly with corporate, government, educational and commercial customers to understand their operational, environmental and technical requirements and recommend appropriate recycling and asset-management solutions.
The position combines technical product and service knowledge with business development, client relationship management and solution-based sales responsibilities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop new commercial customers requiring electronic waste recycling, IT asset disposal, secure data destruction, solar panel recycling and related environmental services.
• Meet with existing and prospective customers to assess their operational, technical, environmental and data-security requirements.
• Analyse customer requirements and recommend suitable recycling, asset recovery, data destruction and resource recovery solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of Cyber Recycling’s technical services, recycling processes, equipment handling procedures, data destruction methods and environmental solutions.
• Explain technical service capabilities, processing methods and recycling outcomes to customers in a clear and commercially relevant manner.
• Conduct client presentations, service demonstrations, technical briefings and site meetings to promote Cyber Recycling’s services.
• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, service recommendations and commercial solutions based on customer requirements.
• Advise customers on appropriate collection, processing, destruction and recycling solutions for electronic equipment and associated materials.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with corporate, government, education and commercial customers.
• Prospect for new clients and identify opportunities to expand Cyber Recycling’s customer base and market share.
• Negotiate commercial terms, service arrangements and pricing within company-approved parameters.
• Liaise with Cyber Recycling’s operations, logistics and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are correctly understood and delivered.
• Coordinate with internal teams regarding customer-specific collection, processing, recycling and reporting requirements.
• Follow up with customers after service delivery to ensure satisfaction and address technical or service-related issues.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and developments within the electronic waste and resource recovery industries.
• Identify emerging customer requirements and recommend new technical services or commercial opportunities to management.
• Attend relevant industry events, exhibitions, customer meetings and business-development activities to promote Cyber Recycling’s technical services.
• Maintain accurate customer records, quotations, sales pipelines, commercial opportunities and business-development reports.
• Provide regular reports to management regarding sales activity, customer requirements, market opportunities and potential areas for business growth.
Skills and Experience Required
• Significant experience in technical, solution-based or business-to-business sales.
• Strong experience in identifying customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Proven business-development and customer relationship-management skills.
• Experience conducting technical or product presentations and demonstrations.
• Ability to understand specialised products or services and communicate their technical and commercial benefits to customers.
• Experience developing new customer accounts and expanding existing accounts.
• Strong negotiation and commercial communication skills.
• Experience preparing quotations, proposals and customer-specific solutions.
• Ability to work closely with operational and technical teams.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to analyse market trends, competitors and customer requirements.
• Capacity to rapidly develop technical knowledge of electronic waste, recycling, IT assets and environmental services.
