About this job

Talacent is looking for a full-time Renderer / Solid Plasterer for our client in Adelaide, South Australia. This role involves preparing and applying plaster, render and finishing materials to internal and external surfaces across residential and commercial projects.

Role Duties:

- Prepare surfaces for plastering and rendering by cleaning, removing old plaster and applying bonding agents.

- Mix and apply plaster, cement and render to walls, ceilings and other structures using trowels, levels and other tools.

- Apply coats to achieve a smooth and uniform thickness and high-quality finish.

- Plumb and straighten corners, angles, walls and ceiling surfaces.

- Install pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings.

- Create decorative textures and finishes according to project specifications.

- Repair, patch and restore damaged or deteriorated plaster, cement and rendered surfaces.

- Measure surfaces and calculate the materials required for each job. –

- Read and interpret plans, specifications and work instructions.

- Use plastering and rendering tools and equipment safely and effectively.

- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets required quality and finishing standards.

- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualifications / Attributes:

- Must hold a Certificate III or higher qualification in Solid Plastering, Plastering, Rendering or a related field.

- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.

- Must possess at least one year of relevant work experience in solid plastering & rendering.

- Strong understanding of plastering and rendering materials, techniques and finishing methods.

- Ability to interpret plans, specifications and technical instructions accurately.

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Good communication and time-management skills.

- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Salary:

$78,000 – $86,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
