Painting Trades Worker

BSB Brothers Pty Ltd Purpose We are seeking a skilled Painting Trade Worker to join our team. In this role, the Painter is responsible for preparing interior and exterior surfaces and applying paints, coatings, and decorative finishes to residential, commercial, and renovation projects. Job Description As a Painter at BSB Brother Pty Ltd, you will work with a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality residential, commercial, and renovation painting projects. Health insurance. Paid time off and holidays. Task & responsibilities Erect and safely use access equipment, including ladders and scaffolding, and protect surrounding areas with coverings to prevent paint damage and maintain a clean worksite.

Prepare surfaces for finishing by removing deteriorated coatings, stripping wall coverings, repairing minor surface imperfections, and applying fillers or sealants where required. Measure, prepare, and blend paints and coatings to achieve specified colours, textures, and finishes in accordance with project requirements. Apply decorative and protective coatings to internal and external surfaces using a range of application methods and equipment, ensuring a high-quality finish.

Install and finish wallpaper and other wall coverings, ensuring accurate positioning, pattern matching, and neat trimming. Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas by cleaning and storing materials appropriately after completion of tasks Carry out minor maintenance and repair work associated with painting projects, including replacing damaged glazing and repairing window components when required. Undertake basic tiling repairs and installations, ensuring wall and floor tiles are correctly positioned, level, and securely fixed.

Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards, client expectations, and project specifications. Follow workplace health and safety requirements and use materials, tools, and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Qualification & experience Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, or equivalent trade qualification Minimum 1+ year of painting experience preferred.

Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the painting industry. Proven experience as a painter or in a similar role. Familiarity with various painting techniques, tools, and materials.

Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.

Ability to read and follow instructions and specifications.
