Chef

Rydaba Pty Ltd t/s Vapiano is currently seeking an experienced full-time Chefs to join our team in Brisbane CBD, 4000

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time work experience in a Chef or similar role within a high-volume, fast-paced commercial kitchen

• Relevant Diploma qualification in Hospitality Management (or equivalent)

• Demonstrated ability to prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, menus, and presentation standards

• Ability to assist with menu planning and the preparation of daily specials in collaboration with management

• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices, including compliance with Australian food safety standards

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining quality and consistency

• Experience in monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering supplies, and minimising food wastage

• Ability to follow kitchen procedures, portion control standards, and quality guidelines

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse kitchen team

• Ability to work across different kitchen sections and support the broader kitchen team as required during service

• Experience supervising or guiding junior kitchen staff is desirable

• Experience assisting with the training of apprentices or junior kitchen staff is desirable

• Experience preparing Italian cuisine or working in a similar restaurant environment will be highly regarded

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Ability and willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by restaurant operations

Position Details:

• Full-time position (38 hours per week)

• Annual salary $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills, experience, and qualifications

• Location: Brisbane CBD, 4000
