Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their collaborative and high-performing team. This is a client-facing position suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, providing quality support, and working as part of a supportive bookkeeping team.
Your new role
Reporting into the bookkeeping team, you will manage a varied client portfolio and be responsible for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping services.
Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end bookkeeping for a diverse client base
Bank, credit card and intercompany reconciliations
End-to-end payroll processing
Accounts payable and accounts receivable management
Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, STP and TPAR reporting
Payroll tax preparation and reporting
Preparation of reports and documentation to support accountants and clients
Assisting with the review and mentoring of junior team members where required
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Proven bookkeeping experience, ideally within a public practice or client-facing environment
Strong Xero experience and knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems
Sound understanding of payroll, GST, BAS and compliance obligations
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
A proactive and team-oriented approach
The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
