JAMES R EDDY & ASSOCIATES PTY LTD trading as Steamers Bar and Grill is looking for full time Restaurant Manager for their busy venue.

Steamers Bar & Grill is a beachfront restaurant and bar located on Marine Drive in Wollongong, NSW, offering relaxed coastal dining with panoramic views of the ocean and Wollongong Lighthouse. The venue is known for its globally inspired dining experience, quality food and beverages, warm hospitality and vibrant atmosphere, catering for casual dining, group celebrations, functions and special occasions.

To be considered for the role, you need to have a relevant industry qualification and at least 3

years' experience in a similar position.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

-Collaborate with chefs to create new dishes, update menus, and special dietary requirements and ensure offerings align with the restaurant's concept.

-Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and high-quality service.

-Plan and organise special events, including coordinating menus and logistics.

-Supervise the daily running of the restaurant (including managing the till and communicating with suppliers, repairers, and relevant authorities).

-Train, lead, motivate and develop our team to deliver the highest possible restaurant

standards.

-Communicating with clients for their booking and function queries.

-Confer with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals, service, and overall experience.

-Recruit, train, supervise and motivate restaurant staff to maintain high standards of service and performance.

-Ensure dining areas are appropriately set up and maintained to provide a high standard of presentation and customer service.

-Monitor restaurant operations, including food, beverage and labour costs, to support effective cost control.

-Meet and greet guests, oversee reservations and respond to customer enquiries, bookings and function requirements.

-Manage the restaurant's social media presence, engaging with customers and promoting the brand.

-Manage stock levels, oversee ordering and liaise with suppliers to ensure adequate food, beverage and operational supplies.

-Adhere to all company policies including food handling OH&S and quality services and cleanliness standards.

-Maintain accurate records of stock levels, financial transactions and other restaurant operational activities.

-Complete and maintain all administration tasks on a daily/weekly basis.

YOU MUST BE

-Available nights, weekends, and school holidays.

-Flexible and able to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

-A confident leader with strong communication and organisational skills.

-Positive with a can-do attitude
