What is the purpose of this role?
The Restaurant Manager will drive sales and profit through strategic management of operations, whilst developing and inspiring the growth of our people. This individual will work with team to develop leadership within our people to assist in achieving our Business Goals.
Task and Duties include (but not limited to)
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the restaurant, including:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to achieve sales, profitability, customer service and operational targets.
Developing and implementing restaurant business plans aligned with McDonald's operational and business objectives.
Monitoring restaurant sales, labour costs, food costs, inventory and other key performance indicators.
Preparing, analysing and presenting restaurant performance reports and implementing corrective actions where required.
Managing stock levels, ordering and inventory controls to ensure appropriate product availability and minimise waste.
Recruiting, training, supervising and developing managers, supervisors and crew members.
Managing staff performance, conducting performance reviews and ensuring appropriate staffing and rostering levels.
Ensuring compliance with McDonald's operational procedures, food safety standards and applicable health requirements.
Managing workplace health and safety procedures, including safety audits, incident investigations, injury management and corrective actions.
Ensuring restaurant premises, plant and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
Managing customer service standards, complaints and customer recovery processes.
Leading and developing department managers and supervisors to achieve restaurant performance objectives.
Ensuring compliance with applicable employment requirements and McDonald's workplace policies and procedures.
Implementing staff recognition, engagement and development initiatives.
Building positive relationships with customers, the local community and relevant external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
AQF Diploma and minimum one year of relevant work experience or at least three years of experience if no formal qualifications.
