Sheet Metal Workshop Labourers (2 Positions)

Location: South Lismore, NSW

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (Long-Term)

Commencement Date: Work will commence on approximately 2nd of November 2026.

Remuneration: Paid base award rate in accordance with MA000010 Manufacturing and Associated Industries and Occupations Award 2020 as a Level C14 (Engineering/Manufacturing Employee - Level I).

Hours of Work: Expected average of 38 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm and Fridays 7:30am to 2pm with a half hour lunch break.

About the Role

Attards Metal & Heaters Pty Ltd is seeking two reliable, full-time Workshop Labourers to join our team in South Lismore. In this role, you will work alongside skilled tradespeople to assist in the fabrication, assembly, and material handling of high-quality sheet metal products.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Preparation & Handling: Assist with measuring, cutting, and shaping sheet metal using hand and power tools. Safely move and position heavy raw materials and finished products.

• Equipment & Assembly: Operate basic workshop machinery (such as bending brakes and rollers) under supervision and assist with component assembly.

• Workplace Maintenance & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop, strictly adhere to site WHS procedures, and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Quality Control: Work with tradespeople to inspect finished products, ensuring high standards and accuracy to specifications.

Requirements & Physical Demands

• Physical Fitness: High level of physical stamina; the role involves heavy manual handling, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Work Environment: Must be comfortable working in a busy workshop environment with exposure to noise, metal dust, and potential work at heights.

• Compliance: Must be willing to undergo random drug and alcohol testing as a requirement of employment.
