The successful candidate will join a high-performing Emergency Department featuring 50 beds and specialized zones for paediatrics, resuscitation, and mental health assessment. Working within a Level 5 delineation teaching hospital, the clinician will utilize state-of-the-art technology, including electronic medical records and MedChart systems, to deliver research-based nursing care. This role demands a leadership mindset, as the Registered Nurse will coordinate care in partnership with Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing while contributing to a culture of clinical excellence and ongoing professional development.
Compensation Details
This role offers a competitive salary rate up to $54.89 per hour, with the specific rate determined by the individual’s years of relevant experience. Requirements and Role Expectations
Professional Registration: Applicants must hold current registration with AHPRA.
Clinical Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in an Emergency Nursing environment is required, with a preference for those experienced in both adult and paediatric care.
Education: A Post Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing (or progress toward one) is highly desired.
Core Competencies: The role requires sound clinical decision-making, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ACQSHC National standards.
Adaptability: Candidates must be able to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining a professional portfolio and a commitment to learning.
