An exceptional opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to join a client-side team supporting the delivery of a major capital project. Offering an initial contract term of at least two years, this role provides the chance to work on a high-profile construction project within a sophisticated and collaborative commercial environment.

Based in the Perth CBD, the position offers a hybrid working arrangement with two days working from home each week.

The Role

Working within the project commercial team, the successful candidate will focus on post-award contract management, partnering closely with project delivery teams and contractors to ensure successful commercial outcomes throughout the execution phase.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing post-award contract administration activities.

Assessing and managing variations, claims, notices, and change events.

Monitoring contractor performance and contractual compliance.

Preparing commercial correspondence and supporting contract governance processes.

Providing commercial advice, contract interpretation, and risk mitigation strategies.

Supporting negotiations and resolution of commercial matters.

Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

Extensive contracts management experience on major construction, resources, infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects.

Strong post-award contract administration experience.

Proven capability in managing variations, claims, and contractor performance.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

The ability to work effectively in a complex project environment.

A Quantity Surveying (QS) background will be highly regarded.

While this is a client-side position, applications are encouraged from experienced contractor-side contract professionals looking to transition into an owner's team environment.
