Salary: $116,089 to $125,490 - ASO7 - Full time - Term Contract up to August 2027
Overview:
The Principal Advisor, Procurement and Contracts is responsible for leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of service development, contract management and grant management programs, projects and services that to ensure value for money is realised, contracts deliver the required outcomes and risks are appropriately managed.
The role participates as an integral team member of the Mental Health Strategy and Planning and Office of the Chief Psychiatrist units, providing strategic leadership and expert advice on procurement, tendering, contract formation and contract performance, including leading or supporting procurement processes to ensure compliant, value for money outcomes.
The Principal Advisor, Procurement and Contracts also provides consultancy to the strategic review, development and coordination of state-wide mental health services to ensure the achievement and maintenance of high level quality services, including developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as the NGO sector and population specific group's related to mental health and aboriginal health.

Criminal History Screening Requirement
A 'National Police Certificate' NPC (also known as a 'Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check' NCCHC) for employment involving no contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position (general employment).
A 'Working With Children's Check (WWCC) (DHS)' is required for this position.
Immunisation Risk for this position is Category C (minimal patient contact)
SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
Special Condition
Completion of, Advanced contract management training or a similar program provided by Procurement Services SA or a registered training provider every two years.
