Electrical Engineer

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Concept and detailed electrical power systems designs

• Electrical Power Network modelling and studies

• Renewable energy systems planning

• Commissioning testing supervision

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; certified by Engineers Australia

• 3+ years of experience in similar roles

• Experience interpreting specifications, drawings, standards and regulations relating to electric power equipment and use

• Experience in Power systems modelling,

• Experience in either Power Generation, Power Transmission, Distribution and/or Traction.

Desirable:

• Experience in design (studies, drawings and specifications) of electrical power systems

• Experience determining arrangements of circuits, transformers, circuit-breakers, transmission lines and other equipment

• Experience in telemetry and control systems

• Experience supervising commissioning, operation or maintenance of electrical power systems

• Experience organizing and managing resources

• Self-starter and proactive

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Good verbal and written communication

• Organized and able to meet deadlines.

• Skills to co-ordinate design meetings, and work within a client environment alongside other subject matter experts;
