Office Manager / Administrator

Enex Engineering | Malaga, Perth WA

$35 – $40 per hour + super, depending on experience

Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm

Enex Engineering is a precision CNC machining and engineering business in Malaga. We manufacture for customers across mining, oil and gas, rail, transport, heavy haulage and general engineering, and we supply aftermarket trailer parts direct to customers around Australia.

We're looking for an organised, reliable person to run the office side of the business — customer enquiries, quotes, job paperwork, invoicing and debtor follow-up. You'll work directly with the two owners in a small team, so you'll see the whole business, not one slice of it. The title and scope will be set to match your experience: administrator if you're building up, office manager if you can take ownership of the office end to end.

What you'll do

Answer incoming phone calls and customer emails, and make sure nothing sits unanswered

Prepare customer quotes and follow them up until we get a yes or a no

Follow up new enquiries and spare-parts requests

Process job paperwork, delivery dockets, purchase orders and invoices

Day-to-day Xero administration

Chase overdue invoices and outstanding paperwork

Keep customer and job records accurate and up to date

Improve how quickly we respond to customers

General office organisation and support to management

What we're looking for

Reliable, punctual and well organised

Confident on the phone with customers — you'll be the first voice they hear

Persistent with follow-up: quotes and unpaid invoices don't chase themselves

Comfortable with email, spreadsheets and learning new software

Accurate with paperwork, numbers and records

Happy in a small business where the job varies day to day

Professional, honest and straightforward to work with

Willing to learn about engineering parts and manufacturing processes

Australian work rights

Experience with Xero, administration, customer service, sales support, or in manufacturing, engineering, transport or spare parts is highly regarded. We use our own in-house job and quoting system, so you'll be trained on that regardless of your background.
