My Australian Career A Maintenance and Engineering services company based in WA, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join its team on a full-time basis. Position Overview: The Mechanical Engineer will plan, design, organise and oversee the assembly, erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, plant and installations — working from engineering drawings and specifications to ensure design integrity, function and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Work in a collaborative and dynamic team. Opportunity to work across a wide range of maintenance and engineering projects. Task & responsibilities Design mechanical equipment, machines, components and products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction.
Develop specifications for manufacture, and determine materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout of plant and systems. Study functional statements, organisational charts and project information to determine the sequence of operations and work required. Organise and manage project labour and the delivery of materials, plant and equipment.
Establish standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations. Oversee the assembly, erection, commissioning, operation and maintenance of mechanical and process plant and installations. Inspect plant and equipment to ensure optimum performance and design intent are maintained.
Direct the maintenance of plant and equipment, and coordinate requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules. Qualification & experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification, meeting Skill Level 1 requirements. Registration with a relevant professional body (e.g.
Engineers Australia) preferred. Proven experience in mechanical design, maintenance or engineering services, ideally within a WA-based industrial or plant environment. Sound knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and maintenance techniques.
Ability to read and produce technical drawings and specifications. Strong project management, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple projects.
