Infrastructure Maintenance Adelaide CBD Full-Time Casual role with view to permanency for the right candidate

Are you an experienced labourer with a background in civil construction, road maintenance or infrastructure works? We are seeking a motivated General Labourer to join a dedicated Infrastructure Maintenance team responsible for maintaining and improving some of Adelaide's most important public assets.

Your New Role

As a General Labourer within the Infrastructure Maintenance team, you will support the delivery of civil construction and maintenance works across roads, footpaths and municipal infrastructure assets. This hands-on role will involve a variety of labouring duties while working alongside a skilled team committed to maintaining high-quality community infrastructure.

You will play an important role in ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while contributing to the presentation and functionality of Adelaide's public spaces.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general labouring duties associated with civil construction and maintenance activities

Assist with road, footpath and stormwater maintenance works

Undertake brick paving, base preparation and asphalt maintenance

Load, unload and transport equipment and materials

Assist with basic measurements, calculations and materials ordering

Operate and work safely around construction and maintenance equipment

Maintain work sites in a safe, clean and organised condition

Complete daily documentation and utilise mobile technology for work activities

Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures

Contribute positively to a collaborative and high-performing team environment

What You'll Need to Succeed

Demonstrated experience within the civil construction, infrastructure maintenance or related industry

Medium Rigid (MR) Truck Licence

Work Zone Traffic Management Licence

White Card

Sound knowledge of civil construction techniques, materials and maintenance practices

Experience working around specialised construction and maintenance machinery

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

Good communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders and members of the public

Strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn new skills

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work demands

Highly Regarded

Certificate in Civil Construction

Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Licence

LE Excavator Licence

LS Skid Steer Licence

LL Roller Ticket

LF Forklift Licence

Previous experience working within a local government environment

Experience with basic administrative tasks and documentation
