Salary: $85,000 plus 12% superannuation

Position: Full time, permanent

Our client RJ?Infra Group operates in the competitive NSW residential and civil construction market, delivering high quality housing, subdivision development and civil infrastructure for communities across growth corridors like Rouse Hill/Box Hill. As the business scales its project pipeline—ranging from architecturally designed luxury homes to end to end turnkey house and land packages—the need for robust project oversight becomes critical.

The client is looking to fill a full-time position for a skilled and experienced Civil Draftsperson to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed civil engineering drawings and plans that meet project specifications and regulatory requirements. This role is vital to the successful execution of projects, ensuring precision and compliance throughout the design process.

The ideal candidate would be a self-motived individual that possesses the skills and knowledge to assist engineers with civil, site, and structural designs, all while maintaining the highest level of client service.

Minimum Requirements:

- Civil engineering diploma or higher qualification

- At least one year full-time work experience in related field

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Complete preparation of drawings, including layouts, mark-up, and preliminary set-out using AutoCAD

- Participate in the development and improvement of designs

- Reading and interpreting projects provided by customers

- Interpreting work assignment instructions, applying appropriate procedures and selecting equipment

- Collecting and analysing data, and carrying out computations

- Estimating material costs and ensuring finished works are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions

- Periodic visits or as needed to monitor ongoing projects, aiming to ensure proper quality and installation with the field team

- Conduct post project reviews with customer, document

- Ensure that project administration, stock control, cost preparation and reviews are completed

- Liaise with engineering on any issues for review

- Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

- Occasionally visit construction sites to gather data and ensure accuracy of designs

To be considered for this role you must have:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to engage with clients and subcontractors

- Experience in survey drafting with AutoCAD an advantage

- Ability to read complex civil schematics

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.

- Proven technical & customer service and problem-solving skills
