Maintenance Engineer

Valley Park Farm is a locally owned Victorian business. Our first farm was established in the heart of one of Australia’s most productive farming lands, the Goulburn Valley. Our three original sites are bordered by the Goulburn River on one side and Great Dividing Range on the other.

Expansion in 2012 saw the addition of a farm nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Strathbogie Ranges. An abundant fresh water natural spring carries life and nourishment to our free-range hens, where our farm began free range egg production in 2013.

We are seeking highly skilled and highly efficient Maintenance Engineer to join our team of professionals on a full-time and permanent basis.

The role includes but is not limited to:

Work to verbal and/or written instructions provided by General Manager and Technical Manager

Ensure the efficient functioning of the Sanovo Grader Pro

Recommend and develop maintenance procedures, in accordance with operational requirements and technical specifications.

Regular scheduled maintenance programs to cover a wide range of Sanovo equipment, including all other equipment and building used in grading operation

Actively engage with training of nominated VPF maintenance staff to satisfy a high level of knowledge and capability with reference to operating and maintaining the Sanovo Grader pro and associated ancillary equipment.

Analyse operational/technical problems. Determine and report on appropriate courses of action

Ensures the implementation of Valley Park Farm Quality Policy and quality system.

Respond to and resolve emergency breakdown and repair requirements.

Perform preventative, general and emergency maintenance requirements.

Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, equipment or material to ensure that sufficient resources are available, and items are in usable condition

Report workplace hazards identified during the course of work to appropriate person according to standard operating procedures.

Ensures the safe disposal of waste materials in compliance with regulations

Ensures strict compliance with the principles of quarantine, and bio security in all Valley Park Farm operations.

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

Strong mechanical knowledge on a wide variety of equipment

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer trade qualification or equivalent

Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

Strong communication skills

Strong diagnostic abilities

Self-motivated, organised, punctual and reliable

Honest, diligent and able to perform assigned duties to the best of your knowledge and abilities

Must have great work ethics

Salary from $95,000 per annum (incl Accommodation and Utility) + Super
