Uprise Retail Group Pty Ltd, trading as IGA Bombala, is an independently owned IGA supermarket located in Bombala, NSW 2632. We are seeking Fruit and Vegetable Packers to join our produce department on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful applicants will prepare and pack fresh produce for sale in the store, ensuring every pack is correctly weighed, sealed, labelled and presented.

Position: Fruit and Vegetable Packer

Employment type: Full-time, permanent

Reports to: Department Manager / Store Manager

Key responsibilities

• Collect fresh produce and prepare bags, punnets, trays, cartons and other packaging.

• Inspect and sort fruit and vegetables, removing damaged or unsuitable produce.

• Pack, count, weigh and measure produce, adjusting quantities to meet pack requirements.

• Wrap, seal and label packs accurately for sale.

• Place finished packs onto trays, racks or into cartons ready for display or storage.

• Record pack numbers, weights, times and dates as required.

• Monitor packaging supplies and the quality, weight and sealing of finished packs.

• Keep packing equipment, containers and work areas clean and report any faults.

Requirements

• An AQF Certificate I or completion of compulsory secondary education.

• At least one year of relevant full-time work experience, or the part-time equivalent, in fruit and vegetable packing or similar commercial packing work.

• Good attention to product quality, weights, labels and record keeping.

• Ability to perform repetitive work and regular lifting safely.

• Availability for early starts and weekend work as part of a seven-day roster.

Remuneration and conditions

An annual salary of $71,550 to $79,550, plus superannuation, will be offered based on skills and experience.
