Forklift Driver

Uprise Retail Group Pty Ltd, trading as IGA Bombala, is an independently owned fresh food supermarket in Bombala, NSW. We are seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for a full-time, permanent position.

The successful applicant will operate the store’s forklift to receive and move grocery and fresh-food deliveries safely between the loading area, storeroom, cold storage and other designated areas.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to unload delivery vehicles and stack, unstack and move pallets, cartons and crates.

• Move goods safely between the loading area, storeroom, cold storage and other authorised areas.

• Store goods correctly for easy retrieval, store replenishment and stock rotation.

• Monitor the forklift’s operation and instruments and complete pre-start checks for wear, damage and faults.

• Perform minor servicing and adjustments within your training and report faults requiring specialist repair.

• Maintain required load and movement records and comply with the store’s work health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• A current forklift licence

• AQF Certificate II or higher relevant qualification, or at least 1 year of relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.

• At least 1 year of relevant full-time experience, or the part-time equivalent, operating a forklift.

• Sound knowledge of load handling, stacking, equipment checks and safe forklift operation.

• Basic computer skills for maintaining load and movement records.

• Availability for early starts and weekend work.

Remuneration and conditions

An annual remuneration of $71,550 to $79,550, plus superannuation, will be offered based on skills and experience.
