The Team

The George Town District Hospital and Community Services provide 15 acute care beds, physiotherapy, dental and podiatry services, and other visiting providers. Other services provided by the Hospital include Palliative care, Community Nursing, Home Help-Personal Care.

The Role

An exciting casual opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to join the team at George Town Hospital and Community Centre in Northern Tasmania for a two-year period. This role provides safe, high-quality nursing care in partnership with patients, families and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Working across a rural and community health setting, the Registered Nurse plays an important role in achieving positive health outcomes while contributing to a culture of excellence, safety and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

strong clinical nursing knowledge and skills

effective communication and teamwork abilities

a commitment to quality, safety and evidence-based practice

a professional and patient-centred approach to care.

Details of appointment

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary

$50.74 to $68.79 per hour (incl of 25% Casual loading). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
