About the role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 – Integrated Alcohol & Other Drugs Service delivers advanced, person centred and evidence based care to individuals with alcohol and other drug issues and complex co occurring health conditions in a community setting. The role provides clinical leadership, supports multidisciplinary care, and contributes to service improvement, workforce development, and the implementation of best practice clinical standards.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Provide advanced clinical assessment, care planning and intervention for people with alcohol and other drug issues and complex co occurring health conditions.
Deliver high quality, person centred and trauma informed care in community settings, including ambulatory withdrawal and targeted health interventions.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure coordinated, integrated and continuous care across services.
Contribute to clinical leadership, quality improvement and workforce development through mentoring, education and participation in governance activities.
Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.
Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and experience managing complex AOD presentations and co occurring health conditions.
Hold a current Australian recognised tertiary qualification as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with relevant post graduate qualification and experience in alcohol and other drugs or a related specialty area.
Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, with well developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commitment to evidence based practice, ongoing professional development, and delivering high quality, person centred care in line with professional standards
Hold a current paid NSW Working with Children Check
A current Class C Driver's Licence and willingness to travel throughout the district.
