Accountant

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced full-time Accountant.

The daily duties and responsibilities include:

• Collate and review financial records to ensure accuracy and clear audit trails.

• Supporting the Financial Controller with various month end reporting duties when required

• Preparing financial statement and financial report for management

• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements

• Managing cash flows and investments and creating budgets and forecasts

• Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders

• Audit financial transactions and documents

• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

Education – Bachelor degree or higher qualification desirable. Industry experience may substitute.

Experience & Skills

• At least 2 years of relevant experience with completing tax returns; more complex company, trust, partnerships; tax research and preparing of financial statement for all entity types; correspondence with ASIC and ATO.

• Demonstrated strong understanding of client file structures

• Demonstrated understanding of asset protections concepts

• Demonstrated time management completing engagements within timeframes

• Staying aware of current events and economic legislative and environments

• Ability to work largely independent and display role model behaviour for accountants

• Demonstrated high level understanding of practice tax software, returns, file creations and matter creations and maintenance.

• Demonstrated working knowledge of basic concepts for GST, FBT and Stamp Duty.

Salary - Salary being offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience and is $80,000 - $100,000 per annum
