Community Bus Driver

Provide safe and reliable bus transport for community members in Maningrida.

Duties include:

Driving the community bus along designated routes and schedules.

Transporting passengers safely and ensuring they arrive at their destination on time.

Assisting passengers to get on and off the bus, including people with mobility needs.

Completing vehicle checks before and after trips and reporting any issues.

Following road rules, safety requirements and workplace procedures.

Keeping accurate records of trips, passenger numbers and any incidents.

Providing friendly and respectful service to community members.

Responding calmly and appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations.

Keeping the bus service safe, reliable and professional.

Requirements

Current Heavy Vehicle Licence (HR or higher) with a clean driving record.

Reliable, professional and able to maintain sober habits.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work respectfully with people from different backgrounds.

Ability to assist passengers when required, including those with mobility needs.

Ability to work flexible hours when required.

Knowledge of Maningrida and local routes is desirable.

Previous bus driving or similar experience is desirable but not required.

Flexible and able to adjust to changes in routes or schedules.

This position does not come with housing.
