Supply and Distribution Manager– Full Time
$90,000 a year + Superannuation
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and coordinate the supply, storage and distribution of AGC's extensive range of commercial catering equipment, kitchenware, spare parts and hospitality supplies to ensure adequate stock availability and timely order fulfilment.
• Develop and maintain purchasing and replenishment plans based on sales demand, stock movement, supplier lead times and inventory requirements, balancing product availability with inventory holding costs.
• Manage inventory levels across product categories and oversee stock control, reordering, receiving, storage and stock movement processes within AGC's warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with local and overseas suppliers regarding product availability, pricing, order quantities, quality requirements and delivery schedules, and negotiate supply arrangements where required.
• Monitor supplier performance and purchasing arrangements to ensure products are sourced in accordance with AGC's cost, quality and delivery requirements.
• Manage warehouse storage and inventory systems to support efficient receipt, identification, storage, picking and dispatch of commercial catering equipment and associated products.
• Plan and coordinate outbound distribution and freight arrangements, ensuring customer orders and equipment are dispatched accurately and within required delivery timeframes.
• Maintain and oversee systems and records relating to purchase orders, incoming stock, inventory movements, warehouse transactions, dispatches and deliveries.
• Liaise with AGC's purchasing, warehouse, sales and customer service teams regarding stock availability, incoming supply, order requirements and delivery priorities to support efficient supply and distribution operations.
• Identify supply, inventory and distribution issues and implement improvements to purchasing, warehouse and delivery processes to reduce delays, stock shortages, excess inventory and unnecessary operating costs.
• Supervise and coordinate relevant warehouse and supply personnel, allocate operational priorities, monitor performance and ensure established inventory, storage and distribution procedures are followed.
• Report to senior management on stock levels, purchasing requirements, supplier performance, supply risks, warehouse operations and distribution performance to support ongoing operational planning.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Business, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce or a related discipline;
• Minimum 2 years' relevant experience in supply, distribution, logistics, inventory management or a closely related operational role;
• Demonstrated experience managing inventory, stock replenishment, purchasing, warehousing and distribution activities, preferably within an equipment, wholesale or product-based business;
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and managing pricing, purchasing requirements, lead times, product availability and delivery schedules;
• Demonstrated ability to manage stock control and warehouse processes and coordinate the timely receipt, storage and dispatch of goods;
• Experience supervising or coordinating staff involved in warehouse, inventory, supply or distribution operations;
• Strong organisational, commercial and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory/ERP or stock management systems; and
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across suppliers, warehouse personnel, sales teams and management.
