General Farm Hand

We are seeking 4 casual nursery hands to work at our commercial vegetable seedling nursery in Tynong VIC. Applicants must be available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week across a 7-day roster, have good communication skills, have a strong work ethic, be physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions.

Work is expected to commence in April / May and continue for 9 months periods.

Key responsibilities/duties will include:

• Maintaining nursery plants – watering, drenching, treating and moving seedlings within the nursery;

• Loading and unloading seedling trays;

• Keeping yard in a tidy and organised manner;

• Tray laying; tray washing and steaming;

• Washing of trucks, tractors and equipment where required; and

• Other general labouring, as required.

On the job training will be provided.

Successful candidates will be employed in accordance with the Nursery Award 2020. Pay rate is $33.05 per hour.
