Salary: $190,200 Plus 12% Superannuation

The Concrete Preservation Technologies (Aust) Pty Ltd, trading as SUPERSEAL (SPC) NSW, is a leading provider of waterproofing, protective coatings, and specialised tiling services for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. This role is pivotal to continued business growth and operational success.

The Wall & Floor Tiler will lead and oversee critical tiling operations, manage project timelines, ensure compliance with safety standards, and uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality, precision-oriented results.

The position is essential for maintaining service excellence, managing high-profile projects, and expanding the company’s operational capabilities across the construction and renovation industry sectors.

Minimum Requirements:

- The relevant qualification required is at a level equivalent to the Australian Qualifications Framework, specifically a Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling or related construction and building trade qualification or higher.

- At least 8 -10 years of full-time relevant work experience as a Wall & Floor Tiler, preferably with supervisory experience in the construction and building industry.

- Valid Waterproofing license.

- Expert proficiency in all aspects of wall and floor tiling techniques.

What you will be responsible for:

- Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning surfaces

- Examining plans, measuring and marking surfaces and laying out work

- Ensuring all tiling operations meet high-quality standards and adhere strictly to project specifications.

- Managing project timelines, coordinating work schedules, and liaising with other tradespeople and stakeholders.

- Conducting thorough inspections and assessments of surfaces prior to the application of tiles.

- Upholding strict compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.

- Mixing adhesives, applying them uniformly, and installing tiles meticulously in specified patterns and layouts.

- Providing technical guidance, training, and mentoring to junior staff and apprentices.

- Coordinating procurement and inventory management of materials, tools, and equipment required for tiling projects.

- Using tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes

- Inspecting and preparing surfaces by cleaning, repairing, levelling, and applying waterproofing.

- Accurately measuring and marking surfaces, cutting tiles to precise dimensions using specialised tools and machinery.

- Applying grout, cleaning excess grout thoroughly, and sealing grout lines to maintain structural integrity.

- Coordinating closely with project stakeholders, including contractors and other tradespersons.

The Successful Applicant

You would be required to work in a team environment and would be expected to take on a variety of tasks. You would be required to work at times under pressure and with timelines and be available to work in different areas if and when the need arises. The applicant must have an OHS white card and previous experience, preferably in the construction industry.
