The Role and Key Responsibilities
We are recruiting for dedicated, professional individuals to join our team as Full-Time Aged or Disabled Carers. The primary focus of this rewarding role is to provide essential care, practical assistance, and companionship to our clients.
Your duties, which are exactly as per the job description, will include:
• Providing dedicated emotional support, companionship, and friendship.
• Accompanying aged and disabled persons during daily activities
• Assisting clients with their mobility
• Preparing food for clients
• Arranging social activities
• Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming and cleaning
• Assisting in personal hygiene and dressing
• Providing companionship, friendship and emotional support
• May do shopping and run errands
• Provides general household assistance, emotional support, care and companionship for aged or disabled people
Mandatory Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate the following criteria:
• Qualifications: A minimum of an AQF Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care/Disability) or a higher, relevant vocational qualification is required.
• Experience: A minimum of one year (12 months) of full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid experience providing direct client care (Aged or Disabled Carer) is essential.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in all personal care tasks and adherence to safe work practices, including manual handling.
• Certifications: Current certifications in First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitations (CPR) must be held.
• General: A valid Australian Driver's License, access to a reliable vehicle, and a current Australian National Police Check are mandatory.
Salary & Benefits (Nominated Salary Range)
We offer a highly competitive remuneration package that reflects the expertise and commitment required for this role.
Nominated Annual Salary Range AUD $77,000 – $85,000 per annum
Additional Benefits Statutory Superannuation (currently 12%) and generous penalty rates for weekend and public holiday shifts.
