Our client, NORWEST, is a growing Civil Construction & Logistics Company operating in the Karratha and Wickham area of Western Australia.

They are currently seeking experienced and safety-focused MC Road Train Drivers with strong civil construction and transportation experience to join their team.

About the Role

As an MC Road Train Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of prime movers, side tipper trailers and other heavy vehicle combinations. The role will also involve supporting the company's day-to-day civil construction and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities include:

Safely operate prime movers, side tipper trailers and other trailers

Undertake road train and side tipper operations in accordance with company and road safety requirements

Transport materials, equipment and other loads as required

Work away from home for short or extended periods to meet operational and project requirements

Conduct vehicle and equipment pre-start inspections

Report mechanical faults, defects and maintenance requirements

Assist with servicing, maintenance and repairs as required

Wash and maintain prime movers, side tipper trailers and earthmoving equipment

Change truck and trailer tyres as required

Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean, safe and serviceable condition

Complete required operational documentation and records accurately

Comply with fatigue management, chain of responsibility and workplace health and safety requirements

Assist with general operational duties as directed by the Operations Coordinator

Perform other reasonable duties as required to support the company's operations

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Demonstrated experience operating MC road trains

Previous side tipper experience is highly desirable

Strong experience in heavy vehicle and transportation operations

Current MC class driver's licence

Current Commercial Vehicle Drivers Medical

Current WorkSafe Online Fatigue Management Certificate

Strong understanding of heavy vehicle safety requirements

Strong focus on fatigue management and safe driving practices

Ability to work away from home for short or extended periods when required

Physically fit and capable of undertaking the duties of the position

Ability to assist with basic vehicle and equipment maintenance

Mature, reliable and safety-focused approach to work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and organisational skills

Willingness to undertake various operational duties as required

Essential Requirements

Current MC Driver's Licence

Demonstrated road train driving experience

Current Commercial Vehicle Drivers Medical

Current WorkSafe Online Fatigue Management Certificate

Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical

Ability to successfully complete a drug and alcohol screen

Two contactable employment referees

Ability and willingness to work away from home when required
