Are you in Year 10–12, recently finished school, or interested in establishing a long-term career in dental assisting?

A well-established dental clinic in Nundah is looking for a motivated and reliable person to join our team through a part-time Dental Assisting Traineeship.

**No previous dental assisting experience is required.**

This is an opportunity to earn while you learn, gain practical experience in a busy dental practice and complete your Certificate III in Dental Assisting – with the training costs paid by the employer.

We are specifically looking for someone who sees dental assisting as a long-term career path and would like to grow with a stable and supportive dental team.

Following successful completion of the traineeship, we are committed to providing the successful trainee with at least 12 months of continued full-time employment (or equivalent), subject to normal terms and conditions of employment.

What You'll Learn

Our clinic provides a broad range of dental services, giving you exposure to a variety of clinical and administrative areas.

Working alongside our dentists and experienced team, you'll receive hands-on training in:

Chairside dental assisting for: general dental procedures, assisting with Sleep Dentistry / sedation cases. dental surgery setup and preparation, Infection control and instrument sterilisation, Preparing and maintaining treatment room, Patient care and communication, Dental PMS system administration, Reception and appointment management, Clinical records and practice systems, Working effectively as part of a professional dental team

As your confidence and experience grow, you'll gradually take on more responsibility with the support of our team.

Your Qualification

As part of the traineeship, you will work towards completing your: Certificate III in Dental Assisting

Your approved training costs will be paid by the employer, allowing you to gain both a nationally recognised qualification and valuable workplace experience while earning an income.

Hours & Employment

This is a part-time traineeship, with working and training arrangements to be discussed with the successful applicant.

School-based traineeship arrangements may also be considered for suitable Year 10–12 students.

Employment and wages will be in accordance with applicable traineeship arrangements and Award requirements.
