Metal Fabricators / Welders

We have Metal Fabricator/Welder positions available across our various locations. Main duties involve fabricating, welding and conducting repairs on a variety of road transport vehicles and equipment at our local workshops.

Salaries are dependent on skills & experience -

• Bruce Rock, WA, 6418 - From $85,000

• Forrestfield, WA, 6058 - From $79,500

• Geraldton, WA, 6530 - From $85,000

• Port Hedland, WA, 6721 - From $105,000

These positions are -

• Full Time Permanent

• Various rosters available

• Tool Allowance $35.00 paid fortnightly

• ASAP Start !

The key responsibilities for these roles include:

• Build, develop and produce BRE and other products as required to meet client requirements.

• Read technical drawings.

• Select, clean & prepare metal stock.

• Mark & cut out sections & shapes using hand tools & other workshop equipment.

• Fit up and fabricate components, in jigs and to drawings.

• Join metal sections using various welding techniques including MIG and FCAW

• Examine welds for size, penetration and defects.

• Diagnose & repair damage as part of the maintenance & service of heavy vehicles.

• Identify & resolve fabrication difficulties.

• Meet deadlines & quality requirements to satisfy customer demand.

• Perform all duties whilst adhering to WHS requirements, & always with the correct use of PPE.

• Follow systems & procedures & complete paperwork.

Required skills and experience:

• Certificate III in Fabrication ideal, but not essential

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience

• Forklift ticket (high risk licence)

• Driving licence

• Have Australian working rights
