About this job

Customer Success & Operations Coordinator

Software / Technology | Work Directly With the Founder | Malaga, Perth

We’re looking for a smart, proactive and highly organized person to join a growing software business working across multiple technology products and industries.

This isn’t a traditional customer service or admin role.

You’ll work directly with the founder across customer success, sales, operations and day-to-day commercial activities, with the opportunity to learn the technical side of the products and grow into a much larger role over time.

We work across several software products, so the role is varied and you'll get exposure to different customers, industries and business challenges.

You don't need previous industry experience — we'll teach you the products and the technical knowledge you need.

What matters much more is that you’re a strong communicator, comfortable with technology, commercially minded, organised, proactive and genuinely interested in learning.

What you'll be doing

The role will be varied, but could include:

- Responding to customer and trial enquiries via email

- Following up leads, trials and potential customers

- Helping identify and research new sales opportunities

- Booking and coordinating demonstrations and meetings

- Assisting with customer onboarding and support

- Learning our software well enough to confidently answer customer questions

- Preparing emails, proposals, follow-ups and other customer communication

- Keeping track of conversations and making sure things actually get followed up

- Assisting with internal projects and general business operations

- Working directly with the founder on whatever happens to be the priority that day

Some days you'll be talking with a potential customer. Other days you might be helping solve a software support question, researching a new prospect, preparing something for a meeting or helping coordinate a customer project.

Who we're looking for

We're less concerned about your exact job history and more interested in how you think and work.

You'll probably suit this role if you:

- Communicate extremely well, particularly in writing

- Are confident speaking with customers and business owners

- Are naturally proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do

- Pick up new software and technology quickly

- Have some commercial or sales instinct

- Are organised and good at following things through

- Aren't afraid to ask questions when you don't understand something

- Can research something, understand it and explain it clearly

- Enjoy variety and don't need every day to look the same

- Want to learn and take on more responsibility over time

You do not need to be a developer or deeply technical.

However, you should be comfortable around technology and interested in understanding how software works. If you're the sort of person who enjoys figuring out a new system rather than being intimidated by it, you'll probably fit in well.

Where this role can go

We're deliberately not putting this person into a narrow box.

Initially, you'll work closely with the founder and get exposure to virtually every part of a software business — customers, sales, product, support, operations and technology.

As you develop, the role could naturally grow toward customer success, account management, sales, operations, product or business development, depending on where your strengths are.

We're looking for someone who wants more than simply another job — someone who wants the opportunity to learn quickly, take ownership and become an important part of a growing technology business.

Experience

You might already have experience in customer success, account management, sales support, administration, operations or technology.

Or you might be relatively early in your career and looking for an opportunity where you can learn quickly and take on significantly more responsibility.

Either way, attitude, communication ability, initiative and willingness to learn will matter more to us than having the perfect résumé.

Location: Malaga, Perth

Role: Casual Full-time (With opportunity permanent full-time)

Work environment: Primarily office-based, working directly with the founder

How to apply

Send through your résumé along with a short introduction telling us a little about yourself, why this role caught your attention, and what you think you'd bring to it.

Please don't send a generic cover letter. We'd much rather hear from you in your own words.
