Mechanical Engineering Technician

S.T Wallace is a well-established mechanical workshop operating as a subsidiary of John Dee Warwick Pty Ltd, which is a family-owned Australian company with four generations of experience in producing and selling outstanding beef products since 1939.

S.T Wallace Pty Ltd is currently looking to recruit experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their team in Warwick QLD.

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- General maintenance on hydraulic pumps, pneumatic cylinders, air knifes, bandsaws, Chain conveyors, compressors, vacuum pumps, lidding and gluing machines, pneumatic equipment etc.

- Help develop and implement the meat plant preventative maintenance program

- Maintain, test and repair/replace mechanical assemblies on plant

- Perform assessments and repairs in the field and workshop

- Perform preventative maintenance

- Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings and machines

- Rebuilding, repairing controls and hydraulic system

- Installing equipment/machinery/parts and testing operations

- Troubleshooting, testing of electrical motors and circuits

- Troubleshooting repair pneumatic rams

- Troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance on ammonia refrigeration

Skills and Abilities:

- Ideally have Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related

- A minimum of three years’ experience with mechanical engineering in meat processing industry or relevant

- Knowledge in electrical diagram

- Follow blueprints and instructions

- The ability to work in a team environment

Salary range is $75,000-$90,000pa commensurate with experience.
