Just Better Care NT (operated by NT Helping Hands and Respite Services Pty Ltd) is currently seeking compassionate and reliable Community Support Professional (Disability Support Worker) to support customers across Katherine and surrounding areas.

About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will work directly with customers in their homes and the broader community, following individualised support plans. You will be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering respectful, safe, and quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on individualised support and personal care to people with disabilities to enable them to live independently in their homes and community.

• Assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, light domestic duties, and mobility support.

• Supporting customers with transportation to appointments, activities, and community events.

• Monitoring and reporting customer wellbeing to the Coordinator or Package Manager.

• Documenting services accurately through our mobile applications.

• Maintaining the safety, dignity, and confidentiality of customers at all times.

• Participating in team meetings, training, and continuous improvement activities.

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support, or Disability Support (or currently studying).

• At least one year of experience in disability, aged care, or community support roles.

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).

• Current First Aid & CPR certificate.

• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

• Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.

• Smartphone with internet access.

• Proof of Work Rights in Australia.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Reliable, caring, and committed to providing high-quality support.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to assist with personal care and daily living tasks.

• Working With Children Check (if required).
