Web Administrator

AXPO Pty Ltd trading as Hab Shifa Australia is seeking a Web Administrator to administer, maintain and support the company's website, e-commerce platform and connected web-based business systems.

The role is responsible for ensuring the company's websites and online systems operate reliably, securely and accurately. This includes website administration, technical maintenance, troubleshooting, system integrations, automation, security and technical support.

The successful applicant will work closely with management, internal staff and external technology providers to maintain and improve the company's web systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support the company's websites and e-commerce platforms.

• Monitor website availability, performance, functionality and reliability.

• Configure and maintain website settings, applications, plugins, themes, extensions and other web components.

• Perform routine website updates, maintenance, troubleshooting and technical testing.

• Identify and resolve website errors, broken functionality, configuration issues and performance problems.

• Maintain website backups and assist with restoration and recovery procedures.

• Monitor hosting, domains, DNS settings, SSL certificates and other web infrastructure.

• Administer and maintain integrations between the company's website and third-party business systems.

• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot APIs connecting e-commerce, inventory, customer service, logistics and fulfilment platforms.

• Investigate failed API requests, data synchronisation issues, authentication problems and integration errors.

• Test integrations following system updates or implementation of new services.

• Develop, maintain and modify scripts and automated workflows supporting website administration and system integration.

• Configure automation between the website, applications and business systems.

• Assist with implementation and technical configuration of new web applications, APIs and digital services.

• Maintain technical documentation relating to website configurations, integrations and automated workflows.

• Monitor website security and identify unusual activity or potential vulnerabilities.

• Maintain user accounts, permissions and administrative access to web systems.

• Manage passwords, authentication requirements and access privileges.

• Assist with investigating and resolving website security incidents or compromised accounts.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues affecting websites and connected online systems.

• Provide technical support to internal staff regarding website functionality and integrated systems.

• Liaise with web developers, hosting providers, software vendors and other technical service providers as required.

• Support the accuracy of product, compliance and pricing information published on the website.

• Assist with planning and implementation of website improvements and system upgrades.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

• Practical experience administering websites and/or e-commerce platforms, such as Shopify or a comparable platform.

• Working knowledge of APIs and system integrations between websites and third-party business platforms.

• Familiarity with website security principles, including SSL, DNS, access control and credential management.

• Basic to intermediate scripting and workflow automation skills.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to liaise effectively with external vendors, technical service providers and non-technical staff.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date website information.

• Experience with website administration, e-commerce systems, APIs, integrations or workflow automation will be highly regarded.

Qualifications Required

The successful applicant will have:

• An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related discipline.

• Qualifications in Web Administration, Web Development, E-commerce, Software Engineering, or a related technology field will also be considered relevant.

• At least three years of relevant industry experience in website administration, web-based systems, e-commerce platforms, APIs or system integrations may be considered in place of the formal qualification.

• Relevant vendor certification in web technologies, e-commerce platforms, cloud services, APIs or related technologies may also be considered in place of the formal qualification.

• Relevant practical experience may be required in addition to the formal qualification, depending on the applicant’s skills and experience.
