The Client
Land Air Sea Space is a specialist designer and manufacturer of electrical interconnecting systems. They are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join their team in Cromer, NSW.
The Role
The position is responsible for coordinating office personnel, allocating resources, maintaining operational standards, managing records and reporting systems, and ensuring effective communication between internal departments. The role also contributes to workforce planning, process improvement, staff development, and operational compliance to support business objectives.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary of $85,000 plus superannuation, and is be based in Cromer, NSW.
The Responsibilities
Coordinate the day-to-day administrative operations of the office to ensure an efficient, safe and well-organized workplace.
Manage office facilities, suppliers, equipment and resources while supporting Finance, HR and WHS functions.
Maintain effective communication across the business and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence.
Coordinate the daily administrative activities of the office to ensure smooth business operations.
Organise and manage employee uniforms, lockers, building access cards and office keys.
Maintain office records, documentation and administrative procedures in accordance with company policies.
Coordinate onboarding administration by preparing workstations, lockers, uniforms and access for new employees.
Monitor office supplies and ensure all administrative resources are available when required.
Manage relationships with suppliers for office supplies, uniforms, cleaning services, maintenance and chemical waste services.
Obtain quotations, prepare purchase requests and coordinate orders for office and kitchen supplies.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure services are delivered according to company requirements.
Maintain inventory levels of office consumables and kitchen supplies to avoid shortages.
Assist with supplier documentation, invoices and purchasing records.
Coordinate building maintenance, cleaning services, alarms, security systems and general office facilities.
Arrange repairs and maintenance with external contractors and monitor completion of work.
Ensure office facilities remain clean, organized and safe for employees and visitors.
Report facility issues and coordinate timely corrective actions.
Support business continuity by ensuring office equipment and facilities remain operational.
Work closely with the WHS Coordinator to support workplace health and safety initiatives.
Assist in coordinating WHS inspections, audits, corrective actions and safety communications.
Maintain WHS-related administrative records and documentation.
Support company compliance with internal policies and workplace procedures.
Coordinate internal communications, company announcements and employee notices.
Organise internal meetings, staff events and employee engagement activities.
Support company initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
Liaise professionally with employees, suppliers and external service providers.
Prepare regular administrative and operational reports for Management.
Monitor office expenditure and provide administrative data to support business decisions.
Identify opportunities to improve office procedures, administrative systems and operational efficiency.
Assist with implementing continuous improvement initiatives across administrative and support functions.
Perform other administrative duties as reasonably required to support business operations.
The Requirements:
Must hold a minimum Degree qualification in Business Administration or Management.
At least 2 years of experience in office administration, operations coordination, business support, scheduling or office management roles
At least 2 years’ experience as an Office Manager or in an office administration management role
At least 2 years’ experience coordinating office operations, administrative systems, and business support functions
At least 2 years of experience coordinating office facilities, maintenance, contractors and workplace resources.
At least 2 years of experience supporting workplace health and safety administration, inspections and compliance activities.
At least 2 years’ experience using office management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and business administration software
Strong knowledge of office administration procedures, workflow coordination, and document management practices
Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment
Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills
Ability to prepare reports, maintain accurate records, and manage confidential information professionally
Good understanding of workplace compliance, administrative controls, and customer service standards
Ability to work independently and support business operations within structured deadlines
High attention to detail and problem-solving capability
