Retail Manager

CRISP CREEK PTY LTD T/A ROCHEDALE MARKETS Crisp Creek Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its retail business at Rochedale, Brisbane. The Retail Manager will be responsible for organising and controlling store operations, maintaining appropriate product ranges and stock levels, supervising staff, monitoring sales and financial performance, coordinating purchasing and supporting marketing and promotional activities.

Determine appropriate product ranges, product mix, stock levels and service standards based on customer demand and business requirements. Plan and coordinate purchasing activities and liaise with suppliers to maintain adequate stock availability and competitive pricing. Monitor stock levels, stock movements, inventory records and product availability, and arrange replenishment as required.

Develop and implement purchasing, pricing, merchandising and promotional strategies in line with business objectives. Monitor sales performance and analyse sales, revenue and other operational information to identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare and monitor budgets and maintain accurate records of financial transactions and retail operations.

Set and review pricing, promotions and sales strategies while considering costs, margins and customer demand. Supervise, coordinate and support retail staff, including recruitment, rostering, training, performance management and day-to-day allocation of duties. Promote high standards of customer service and resolve customer enquiries, complaints and service issues professionally.

Coordinate store presentation, merchandising and promotional displays to maintain an attractive and organised retail environment. Promote and advertise the establishment's goods and services through appropriate marketing and promotional activities. Ensure stock is displayed, handled and stored appropriately and that product quality and presentation are maintained.

Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety, food handling, hygiene and other applicable retail requirements. Review operational procedures and implement improvements to increase efficiency, sales, customer satisfaction and profitability. Maintain communication with suppliers, staff, customers and management to ensure smooth retail operations.

Qualification & experience AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Retail Management, Business Management, Retail Operations or a related field. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a supervisory or retail management position is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience managing retail operations, stock, purchasing, sales and customer service.

Experience supervising, rostering, training and developing retail staff. Strong understanding of inventory control, merchandising, pricing and retail sales strategies. Ability to monitor financial information, budgets, sales results and operational performance.

Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment. Good computer skills and ability to use point-of-sale, inventory and business management systems.

Strong understanding of workplace health and safety and applicable retail compliance requirements. Ability and willingness to work a minimum of 38 ordinary hours per week, with reasonable additional hours as required by operational needs.
